Alligator Dog

Posted by Stacey Lamothe on

I recently did a child's drawing on a pendant for her Mom. It is her "Alligator Dog." The propeller hat was the clincher! Once she received Alligator Dog, her friend needed Go Chicken Chicken jewelry as well...                    Shortly thereafter, she wanted to gift her friend Stewie something special from Reggie (Stewie's dog). Here is the keychain she got.

5 Kitties

Posted by Stacey Lamothe on

I have a client, Lorie, who has 5 kitties she loves very much. She had cameos made of them all and wears them on a single necklace. How much love is contained in that necklac?! She, now, can take all her best friends with her every where she goes. Here are 5 beloved kitties. They are: REBA, CLOONEY (yes, as in George! He's a very handsome cat!), LAILA, XENA, and JOHNNY (Yes....seven on each paw! When he runs down the hall it sounds like small elephant! Stealthy he is not!).

Lab Tested Necklace

Posted by Stacey Lamothe on

A client of mine, Mary Hooker,  placed an order today. Her friend Mark started Dogs4Diabetics and recently lost his dog Armstrong.  Armstrong was the diabetic alert dog and Mark's own dog.  Since Mark works closely with Guide Dogs and testing/training Dogs4Diabetics dogs, Mary wondered if I could make my "lab tested" necklace with the text "lab tester."  Easy enough for me to do. I  hope it softens the blow...  So sorry Mark.  R.I.P Armstrong.   BTW, Mary is the owner of Yellow Neener Photography, on location pet photos capturing the essence of your pet. (Humans not excluded.)  If you're in need of some fab...

Fall Leaves!

Posted by Stacey Lamothe on

As I walk my dogs at the park I see all the beautiful leaves. This is where I get lots of inspiration. The curly, squiggly, finger-like oak leaves, the red and pointy maple leaves are all over!  Green, Red and Gold fall colors painting my path, I love this time of year. I collect leaves, sticks, acorns, rocks and what ever strikes my fancy as I walk. I sometimes come home with pockets full of treasure. From these, I draw my jewelry designs.   Here are some of the leaves I have made recently. I almost always have...

Love Bugs

Posted by Vern Clinton on

I had a customer request a dragonfly pendant. Drags have always been on my list to make. While she is debating on the text she wants on the back, I did some smaller ones that I have been daydreaming about. With a swinging garnet tail, the movement of the shiny garnets moving freely under the wings is eye catching. They seem to be hovering, too cool. The pendant is a bit bigger with an almost clear Aquamarine for the head. It is hung on a black ribbon choker. All will be for sale at my Mother’s Day show in Loomis....
